My Take on the game (posted on FB):
The Eagles lost to the Liberty-Eylau Leopards this past Friday night, 28-13. Alijah played both ways and honestly had a somewhat rough game- He had a couple of good runs and caught three or four passes in the game and played well on defense, but he also had a few not-so-great plays. Tatum's defense actually played better than the score indicated- LE got three of their TDs in the 2nd half when the defense was obviously worn down. The offense showed a few flashes but too many turnovers killed whatever momentum the offense could generate. The offense still needs some work and a little more balance between the run and the pass, but the defense has improved gradually as the season has progressed. One thing is for sure: the players have continued to fight and support one another as a team; there's been no pointing fingers or anything like that, and that's a credit to the entire team- coaching staff and players! Keep up the fight, Eagles- the wins will come!
